OK you snake guys out there my cat brought this up to the house and left it in the driveway as a gift to us . It is a pretty snake but I'm not sure what it is. It's about 12in long and really skinny. Anyone know. Thanks!!! Keith P.S. I live in North Georgia

The pattern and shape of the head make me think it's a corn snake. Because it's only 12" long, it's most likely this year's hatch. It could be juvenile coloring/pattern of a yellow rat snake. Definitely a non-venomous snake. Jean

Yeah, I'd say one of the baby rat snakes. Rat snakes have much fancier patterns when they are juveniles....Mel

Yep, it's definitely a rat snake. They're very common down there. Too bad the cat got it!
