Well met everyone. My name is Tony from Indiana. I somehow totally missed this section. I tumbled a barrel or two when I was a child about 25 years ago. Loud toy tumbler. I am now getting into the spirit and my 16yr old son has sparked interest as well. He has collected rocks for years. I too have collected for a while but sort of misplaced most of my rocks(tossed them). I haven't been at this but for about a month. Makes me an old wise man. lol I totally botched my first run and just started over. May sound weird but I am more confident starting this new batch than I was with my first attempt. I'd like to find some places relatively close to go on a rock finding expedition with my boy or all my children if they wanted to go. But until then we'll fish!

Welcome aboard Tony!! Next time you're out fishing, from shore, cast out your lines, kick back, grab a cold one, and......................... Look down .... all those little, and not so little hard things are rocks... pick a few... dozen..... and you have your next batch of tumblers !! Also do a web search for rockhounding in your state... good way to start seeing what is around you or in a nearby locale. <can't do that here in florida, no rocks..only sand, and sand doesn't tumble well!>
