I purchased some of Aaron's (Nuevomundo) new Inca Agate material from high in the Andes in Peru that he is having mined! GORGEOUS STUFF!!! Here is some of the rough (I made a few cuts already before I remembered to take a picture of the rough): I chose the red and purple one on the right for my first cab: Here are the preforms wet and dry, I REALLY love the deep reds and purples in this Inca!!!: The material is very easy to work. I had a few fractures that I had to work around that changed my finished shape slightly but lucky for me, most of the fractures were healed and had a beautiful orange color! Here's the cab: Indoor: Outdoor in full sun: AMAZING how different this stone looks when back-lit Back-lit indoor: Back-lit outside: Thanks for taking some of your time to look at some of mine

you got a great shine on that and I like the composition.
I have a few small nodules or half-nodules of the Inca material I bought from Aaron at the Minneapolis show. I have so much other stuff to work, that I am not sure I will work my nodules.
Given the size of the agates, and what he tells me of the hard rock digging conditions, I do not think this claim will make a lot of money or stay open too many years. That may in the end increase the value of the material.

WOWZERS!!!! Your incredible shine is so freakin' bright! You need to post some secrets for us lesser cabbers. That is an amazing cab. So....where did you get the rough from? An online website, ebay? Thanks for sharing your stuff. I always enjoy seeing your creations. You have an amazing talent! steve
