it has some look of some Picasso marble, but it could be an agate. how hard is it?

It kind of looks like some of the flints found here in Texas.

I'm not sure of the mohs value on this one. Is there a test for hardness I can do on my own, especially when the ID of the rock is unknown?

outback often has more pink.
if a steel nail scratches it it is marble, not agate.
