I was given two large buckets of S.S. White Abrasive Powder Number 7. But I don't know exactly what it is; the rest of the labels are badly worn.
Is anyone familiar with this product? It looks like prepolish but I'm not sure.
Thanks in advance.

Hello bitterbrook, I think it is probably a pre-polish or polish because of its powder form. Many are white like the ones in my box of pre-polishers below. I also have Tin Oxide which is a white polish powder. Aluminum Oxide 1000 is whitish grey and Cerium Oxide is whitish tan, if you don’t place them near something white they could be easily mistaken for white. There could be many other types and for other different purposes as well. Let’s hope someone will recognize the S.S. White Abrasive Powder Number 7 and clarify things. If that doesn't work then, my recommendation is to experiment with it first as a pre-polish and go on from that. If you already knew all about these, I'm sorry and wish you luck! Dora
