Wow what an agate hunt! Those river washed fortification agates are freaking awesome! I'm always impressed with all the wonderful patterns and the array of subtle colors in those.....Mel

Man you live in a Mecca for those fortification nodules. Really nice batch, again.
That one with the reddish exposed druzy or botryoidal inner area in pic 8 is really cool.

Thanks everyone...John that one looks like someone cut themself and split it open....Yea this was about 6 hours in beach like sand and gravel... probally 300 Yards by 100 yards spot on the Homochitto River in Missisippi....Lol You are most right Adrian...As I was leaving I was saying "One more" I would find one and look for a few more minutes saying ,One More, find one...It was a good day...John

I had the same thought, Lynn: some of them look like Crowley Ridge agates, but those are in Arkansas. Some look like Fairburns, too. I guess you never know what the rivers will wash downstream.

Lynn ..they are from the same alluvial plain as the Crowley Ridge agates .....They are found in a wide area and each area they have variations...John
