OK..... I know I've been MIA for awhile but I needed Halloween spirit tonight so I logged on to see the AMAZINGLY SUPER COOL HALLOWEEN CABS you guys post each year. What's going on? Where are they? What have I missed? I haven't cabbed recently but here's a Kryptonite that I broke Got a picture though of the face before I reshaped it: And my Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle that you all have seen before: C'mon guys!!!! I REALLY need your energy and your AWESOME HALLOWEEN CABS to pump me up!!!! I think this might be the first year ever that I've logged on here and see no Halloween spirit. Are we all becoming fuddy duddies?

Kristee I got three large Agates at our club auction in September for afew bucks. This was one of them. The other two are nothing interesting. I got 4 or 5 killer slabs...I really don't know exactly what it is.

We had less than 70 trick-or-treaters last night. I didn't put out any lights, decorations or even get a pumpkin and carve it. Too much other stuff going on, trying to get the trailer ready for Thanksgiving week in the desert, have two weeks to fix the rotted out roof, and get the generator to work ...sigh
My husband was on the computer, watching videos for the Mastercam class he is taking, so I had to dish out the candy by myself this year (normally we take turns). I was trying to read, having to put the book down every so often, but it passed the time. Had the Mel Brooks movie "Young Frankenstein" going on the TV. I love his movies! The dogs were extremely good, I think they only barked one time.
Anyway, I got to thinking about the giving and taking of Halloween over the years. Let's say your parents dress you up, and take you out Trick-or-Treating when you are about three years old. Then you do it until you are maybe 13 or so (yeah, I know, a lot of almost "twenty-somethings" still do it, generally with a T-shirt they've put fake blood on, maybe a little makeup, a pillowcase for the booty, and they're an instant zombie - lol!).
When you are older, you get a place of your own and start handing out the candy. So I figure I've been on the receiving end for about ten years, and on the giving end for over 35 years (and hopefully will be around for many more to come!). But still, something just doesn't add up...
Please do not add anything political comments to this thread, that's not what it's about!!!!! Jean

It's not a rock, but it was cut last night. We stabbed it with a knife and it bled glowing green! LOL!!!! The best thing about Halloween is the really little kids. They are so awesome to watch. Watching them reminds me of how much fun it was to be so young and everything was an adventure. Best costume of the night- Mom stuck a ton of real peacock feathers in the back of a girl's pink tutu. It looked really cool. I like the handmade ones best. Attachments:
