Great looking tumble! Nice Rio Grande agates and sweet Georgia corals! The neat part about that coral is that it looks so solid with hardly any fractures.

Carlos- The coral may not be the most stunning color in the box,but when it comes to shine and being fracture free it is hard to beat. Can take one coral head about 8-12 inches in diameter and split it in half with asledge. Then knock dinner plate sized 'chips' off with zero fracture. It is highly sought after for knapping for those reasons.Similar to glass when striking, the pieces that fly off will cut you in half. The kanppers rarely knapp it unless heat treated. It goes color wild w/the heat too.

Beautiful batch! Now that the fracking chiggers have gone down, you've inspired me to crack up some of my Rios for the tumbler.....Mel

Thanks much for compliments.A note about polish. For 12 pounds i use 1.5 cups polish-about standard.Also,2 cups virgin plastic pellets and 3 cups WHITE SUGAR.Slow rotary tumbler.2 points 1)The sugar seems to improve the polish a lot, more as a lubricant than a thickening agent because the slurry is water like and not thick or like gravy. 2)If i run the polish longer than a short 3-4 days it seems i loose shine.Am i seeing things?
