Did 2 barrels of this material,just took the second one out. Ran across another hunk of South African banded jasper,tighter bands than what I had before. On the left,looks like stromatolite I got in a swap with peachfront,on the right Mary Ellen jasper from Jason. These were slices off a couple different chunks.Flunked thier physical. May play with them later by themselves. This was in the box from peachfront,heavy like hematite,but dont think so. Thanks for looking Have a good day yall!! snuffy

Wow. You did get a great polish on that stuff in the tumbler...it's beyond me. I have to polish each piece by hand on the wheel, no wonder I'm slow.

Jasper hematite is awesome.So thats what i see in agates and wood.Specs and blobs in lots of Rio Grande materials.But not bands like that,too cool.

Are the metallic looking specs in this slab hematite?Sawn cobble from Rio Grande that looks like wood. Attachments:
