My 13 yr old son who started us into this hobby just reminded me that october marked one full year since we took our rock tumbling class. So last october we started with a single 3lb lortone tumbler. In this past year we built a homemade tumbler that holds (8) 3 lb barrels, got a 12lb lortone tumbler and just got a lot-o vibe tumbler to cap it off last week. So he brought out all the rocks that he tumbled this year (this dont include any of mine or his brothers) Thanks to everyone here who have helped us along the way The whole group (about 25 lbs) puddingstones quartz family mixed rocks lake superior agates tumbled preforms these are his favorites thanks for looking Chuck and Darren

Wow Chuck, both your boys are tumbling pros!! ;D Terrific job Darren! The Lakers and heart shapes really stand out to me, as well as that Bruneau (or Wonderstone?) in your last picture. Awesome and inspiring work!!

Darren, do you keep them under your bed like my son Bryan does? That's a lot of tumbled rocks in a year. We'll hit a year at Christmas, but our total amount of rocks will be similar to just Darren's.

That is great! I hadn't thought of keeping all my first year, that would have been fun to see.

Doesn't the year go by fast. There is lots of color and shine in them dishes. Next year you are going have to get bigger containers. I use big, clear glass vase. It shows off lots of stone and looks nice. Tom
