I've got a few of these and wondering what the heck they are.Looks like some kind of fossil.Or coral?They are all the same color inside when tumbled.Got a couple in polish now that will really shine Natural and roughed out snuffy

Kinda looks like Snake Skin Agate, snuffy.

I looked it up and dang if it does look like it All the pieces I have were small and never envisioned snakeskin looking like that Thanks snuffy

Hi, snuffy! Very glad to have been able to help with your id! Hope I'm right. :blush: I have a couple of small tumbled pieces (dime-sized) of the snake skin agate that are beautiful and fascinating to look at while backlit. Maybe you could try tumbling some of the smaller pieces? I love snake skin agate and have a couple of whole and sliced pieces of it. Really cool material!!

Yup, I love those. Think the collecting area where I got mine is up around Jordan Valley, Oregon or maybe it was Rome, Oregon. That trip was a long time ago and I must have made fifty stops *L*.....Mel
