Hey snuffy, If you find more than you can handle, I'd love to have one in my collection. :-)

I keep a 2x2x.5 rare earth magnet on the end of my hoe when I'm hounding and I usually pick up a few magnetic pebbles but I can't really tell if they are meteorites. Here are a few I bought several years ago. Campo de Cielo, Argentina it's pretty heavy. I see your's has some rust on it, mine does too. I soaked it in soda ash with tin foil in it and it's better but it still has a little rust due to the chlorides inherent in this meteorite: North Africans with face polish to reveal the nickle bits in the meteorite: A couple of Gibeons etched to reveal the Widmanstatten lines. The round one was turned on a lathe. I've got a few more, I'll post if I find them.

Very cool specimens you guys. I'm always looking for meteorites or Bediasites. Used to use a metal detector for the former. Never had a bit of luck *L*...Mel

Those are some sweet specimens you have Carlos. I have one larger piece that I picked up from road gravel while walking my dog a couple years back. It hasn't been ID'd by an expert yet, but in the early 1900's a meteorite exploded a few miles east of me, so there's a pretty good chance I have a piece of it.
Mel, I did a google search tonight and found a guy who has several bediasites for sale. Think I'll order one for my collection.
Adrian, your projects never cease to amaze me. Being a retired metal smith, I can appreciate the work that goes into something like your knife.
