I have the strangest little squirrel that lives in our back yard. We made the mistake of feeding it unsalted peanuts in shell one day and now it comes up to our back sliding glass door every time someone walks into the kitchen. Here's the little guy taking a nut out of my hand: What's strange about this little fellow is not his bravery around us though.... HE LIKES CATS!!! We have a neighborhood cat that always visits us. She naps on my rock rinsing table in the back yard. This squirrel could go anywhere it wants to eat it's nut but no..... it runs to the table with the cat, jumps up on the seat, gets about a foot or two away from her face as if saying "Don't eat me, I'm friendly!" and then jumps on the table top to eat his nut. He did this 4 or 5 times in a row and I was busting up laughing! The cat couldn't care less and just watched the squirrel in amusement, just like me! I guess cats and squirrels can be friends after all ;D

When I was in college, I started feeding a squirrel outside my apartment. One day I left the door open and it came into the living room. I fed it inside and then invited her in a few times after that. She would sit on the couch next to me and eat sunflower seeds out of my hand.

I have fed and clothed three squirrels in my lifetime. Boy was that expensive. Especially the two that got the house.
Just kidding, I loved them all. Jim

Had a freind up in Marysville who had 2 or 3 that would come into her apartment for goodies. Here they just get into my garden and steal the wild birds seed. I've considered making them one of these, but Elizabeth sez no.

That's great! I had a customer that would call his squirrel down from a tree and the fella would follow the man around while he doled out treats. Another customer used to leave her breakfast window open in the morning so her buddy could join her for breakfast! They are great animals!

I know what to think about it. WTF. Piece of sh*t. That's 1 out of 3 for the sociopath triad.

Great squirrel story. I like those critters. I couldn't help but wonder if the cat is smarter than all of us and is letting Krystee faten up his Christmas Dinner... Scott

We had a semi-feral barn/house cat that loved to play catch with the squirrels. The squirrels favorite filbert tree was across the busy rural route we lived on. One day the squirrel headed for his tree with kitty in hot pursuit. The squirrel reached it's tree but the cat didn't make it, instant flattened sail cat we buried out back. Perhaps that is the root of my sciurophobia. Apologies to all who were offended.
Merry Christmas Lee
