We got ahold of this, from the wife's friend. Nobody was sure what it might be. My first thought was aquamarine, and a fairly healthy wad of it. The wife wanted it sliced, so I got a couple nice slices and some rough. Then I lit it with the mineral light. The white went dark, and the crystal went VIOLET. I checked every flourescent I.D. lit. I could find, checked online. All I found out was that Aquamarine does NOT flouresce violet, and very very few minerals do. Interesting? The ultraviolet photo looked blue-ish. Trust me this thing is purple! Like electric purple. MINERAL MEN atten-HUT! what the heck is it?
