Not expecting any miracles here, just hoping that maybe someone recognizes the habit or can help narrow down the list of possibilities. 4cm across, 3cm high excluding matrix. Current locality I have on it is "eBay" lol.

Hmmm. I'm not a mineral guy but I don't think that's Texas material as ours is usually blue or clear and from alluvial deposits so the raw gems are not in crystal clusters. I think Colorado, Utah and Mexico all have the golden stuff....Mel
