I have many pounds of freeform cabs that I've made (handheld) and worked-up on all sides through to and including the 3000 wheel of my Genie.
My next step would usually be to dop 'em all up, spin on the 8k, 14k, the 50k wheel group and the 100k paste on a 1/4"-20 leather pad and go to town.
But I don't wanna. My dop wax is all played out and I just cleaned out the pot. PITA. I could melt up some fresh but I just don't wanna.
I have two barely used Raytech TV5 vibratory tumblers & grits that I could use for finish tumbling. Also bought 400 Harbor Freight fatter plastic tile spacers.
The first obvious step will be to sort the cabs by Mohs.
Then what??

Use non abrasive ceramic cylinders at about 70% of the load and a good (.3 or finer) aluminum oxide polish. Plastic is too light for most vibes but may be OK in the TV5 as it is a pretty light duty unit. If you are at 3000 stage no point in using grit.

if you have thin edges on any watch for chipping. I've generally been OK in the vibe but sometimes if they are very thin (wafer thin) edges they get chipped up.

How about using a rotory tumbler to finish them? You could do alot of cabs in one load.

Yes I want to know about the rotary tumbler too. Plus can I smooth the preform in a rotary so I dont have to polish the back. I could just dop them out of the tumbler n go thru the sequence of grinding wheels n belts?
