I ran across a listing on ebay from a person excavating large amounts of jasper in Tennessee and after a few messages back and forth I agreed to try out a large flat rate box. He is selling it as "snake print jasper". The slabs I cut from the first chunk look fractured but the fractures seem to be filled with quartz. All in all it is a cool looking material and if all else fails I think it would be a good tumbled rock too. The stuff was delivered in two days and packaged as good as any rocks I have gotten. If anyone wants to try it out its very affordable and I have his contact info just PM me. so what do you think of the stuff? chuck

The more I cut the more I like it. It works up pretty easy. I would almost compare it to cabbing leopard skin jasper I think.

Woohoo, brecciated snake print jasper. Great find but how long does it take to go through a large box of stone. If I bought a large box of any stone it would take me forever to work all of it. Maybe I am just slow or do not work long enough hours. lol Jim

Its pretty darn frozen here and we didn't stockpile enough this fall. That' alright though cuz its really not fun trying to tend to the saw when its 10 degrees out there. 10 degree oil feels just like 10 degree water on your hands. I am just cutting this stuff to try to get some slabs to cab and the per pound price was right.
