thats got an interesting look to it; nice. I wonder what it would look like if you put broken tempered glass in with it and then cut it. I guess it woul d just keep fracturing and you would never get a polish; never mind. Nice work anyway

That is really cool. I suppose since you had a rock in your pocket it counts as rock related...lol.

Rock or not, I think it's worth posting. Very awesome piece!
Would you mind passing on the name of that resin? Looks like it would work for more fun projects.

Ok...they were a pain to do, but I made a couple more. I'm done for a while! The orange one is 3.8 inches and the larger blue one is 5.75 inches in diameter.

Those are some cool spheres! How did you get all the air bubbles out?
I seen this stuff once a a welding supply house that was a filler that when it dried it look like aluminum, it was machinable. I always thought it would be neat to do a similar sphere like yours but with the metal like finish. Heck you can fill it full of cheap peridot and it would look like a meteorite. :-)

The bubbles rise to the top for the most part, though a few seem to get trapped inside.
I would be interested in knowing the name of the welding filler is...that sounds like something I'd love to mess with as well...

Wow. I generally don't go for a lot of glass stuff, but that is a work of art, or a gorgeous example of design, or both. Great job!

I really like your work. Would you mind explaining with picts, how you make a mold from the box? I would like to learn. Thanks C
