We had a lot of fun collecting these and grew a little impatient as they tumbled for over two months - and a lot of them probably still could benefit from going back to a rough tumble. Anyway, here they are with all of their beautiful imperfections. They are a very dark stone so most of the photos are back-lit to show off their inner beauty. The main group of photos is here on Flickr if you care to take a look: www.flickr.com/photos/91547847@N07/sets/72157632780805329/

Thanks Jeff!
Hahaha thanks Henry my GF just got back from Germany today. I exchanged my penny for her 2-Euro and I think I got the better end of the exchange rate :-)
Lowell if you can believe it that's my cell-phone camera heehee. The HTC One phone has a fantastic camera on board - better even than my 14mp point & shoot. Your PM from earlier inspired me to step it up a notch so I got a sheet of white HDPE from Tap Plastics and used it like a light table with a flashlight shining up underneath.

Alright! I've been waiting to see some more of these. I also tumbled a load of these, posted July 14, 2011, and found them to be quite tough. You did a real nice job on yours. I'm sure the trip out there was quite cool for you too. Very cool. Thanks for sharing! -Chris.

Yes I agree - I thought they were pretty tough as well. Kept trying to rush them along which is always my first mistake :-) yeah the trip over the hill and out to the coast is always nice and agates are just icing on the cake.
