The tiny round dots look more like pet palm fiber to me. If you polish a small part of the end, you'll be able to tell. Dino bone cells will be irregular in shape. Palm will be more round.

ok so which direction should I cut it any ideas .. or doesn't it matter

It is most commonly cut accross the grain.I would cut a 1/2 to 1 inch slab off the bottom as it sits in the second picture.Like slicing a carrot lengthwise making round slices...That is usually the best view aesthetically.It is for sure the best view to figure out what it is if able.The slab may come apart;i see fractures.I wanna sit and wait for the saw to finish:>

Cutting a carrot crosswise makes round slices. Cutting it lengthwise yields a bunch of very flat carrots.
