Difficult to see, but there are 315 million year old reptile foot prints in this piece of mudstone. The pointer points to the easiest to see. This piece is from Plainville, Massachusettes.

Now i see the branches in the 2nd photo. The branched type horsetail like the stuff in the photo of Argentine horsetail. The stuff i sell rarely branches unless scarred;it is equisetum hyemale. It is common out west too.The idea of Logarithms were created or stimulated by the varying distance of the nodes on a horsetail stalk.

Those are magnificient.Nice bug wings and how long are they-scale? If you ever do Flicker you will throw rocks at Photobucket. And the organization tools flicker has to offer are user friendly.Especially for collectors.

James, those aren't bug wings. They're a type of fossil fern leaf. I'll probably take a look at Flicker today. I'm sick of Facebook not listening to their users.

Oops, confused nueropteris with nueropterous(like caddis flies w/skeletonish wings). You can start w/flicker if you load only a certain amount(200 MB/month?).If you load a lot it is about $25/year.Try it free any way for small amounts, you will loose Photobucket.People open threads w/flicker and often skip Photobucket.

Testing new Flickr account to see if I have it figured out. If so, the "New and Improved Photobucket" can go bark up a tree. flic.kr/p/e4pjdcWell, at least I can post links to pics. Can anyone instruct me on how to post actual pics from Flickr ?

To post that photo Don I clicked on you Flicker link and opened it.It opened on the above photo. So i posted that one. Here is how: 1 Right hand click on the photo 2 You will see sizes, use 800 or 1024(large) for this forum 3 I clicked 1024(large) to get full screen on the fine trilobite 4 Right click again on the new larger photo 5 Look at the bottom of the window and left click properties 6 When the properties window comes up copy the http and paste between the form brackets on the forum reply. Notice that when you perform step 3 you will get the photo presented to you in the size that that the forumites will see it in your thread-a preview... Try it

With a fossil collection like that you are missing out not using flicker Don.I like seeing your stuff. And open your flicker link and watch it on flicker slide show mode.Dang it that mode presents your pics as clear and purdy as it gets.
