Don, these are really fantastic. I don't know how I missed this thread for so long. Thanks for sharing! Pretty soon you will have a museum and have the luxury of charging admission!

Now that's a plan. I could use the money for more fossils.

I've never been particularly interested in fossils except for the pretty ones --- like yours. If I ever come across live foxtail ferns, I'm going to make enchiladas so I can scrub a pot with the fern!

And now the fun begins. There's an approx. 6" fish hiding in that shale. (Pencil lines to show location of fish). I finally get to try out my new Paasche air eraser. If I remember to take breaks from the fun, I'll post progress pics.

And another to play with. A Camptasaurus vertebra from Pit 13, Morrison Formation, Crook Co., Wyoming. Lower Jurassic. I'll need to use the air scribe on this one before hitting it with the air eraser. If the specimen is too beat up, it's showing some nice cell structure. It'll get sliced up for cabs.

I like them all Mike. Rocks, minerals, artifacts and fossils. But there's something fascinating about things that were alive millions of years ago. Always something new to learn.

A couple more new ones. Exogyra Ponderosa -- ( A 100 Mil. Yr. old Oyster ) -- Upper Taylor Clay formation near Austin, Texas. ( Top or outer valve ) Bottom valve of oyster is offset slightly, but still there. Needs Texas clay removed. The next I like to call natures masterpiece because it reminds me of a farm field. Renaultia Schatzlarensis -- ( A rare 310 million yr. old fern ) from Poland.

These arrived just before 7:00m PM tonight. Haven't had time to try IDing them yet. First is a clam death plate. Part of a hard mud ball taken from the Pierre Shale Formation of western S.D. Next an interesting shell in a chert type material. And finally a realy interesting shaped shell which I'll try to fully expose. So far I have learned that this brachiopod is from the extinct order Spiriferida. I hope to learn more soon.
