I like having a long fluorescent tube light overhead and use expanding belt sanders. Sand in the same direction until the saw marks are gone and rotate 90 degrees for the next grit. The tube reflection shows when the previous scratches are gone, then rotate and go to the next grit. Warps and waves show up magnified dramatically when making cabs.
