Here's the rest of them. I just love going to the club shows, and I especially like the informal feeling of the outdoor tailgate shows. 1. Some random agates. Smiling face on left... $2 or $3 was the most I paid for any slabs at this show, most were fifty cents, some were even a quarter. My husband would call me cheap, I'd say that I am thrifty! 2A. Another agate. 2B. Most are small, just right for one cab. But a lot of the little ones were 50 cents each, so I'm not complaining. 3A. Unknown 3B. 4. Unknown 5. Dendritic? Plume? 6. Crazy lace 7. Fortification or banded agate? Will polish the face, just smooth the edges and wrap this one. 8. Flame agate? 9. Moss agate 10. Plume on left? Possibly Tiffany stone on right? 11A. Moss 11B. 12. Unknown 13. Seraphinite? This is more of a chunk than a slab. Think I'll try to make a cylindrical/teardrop shaped pendant, holes and all. 14. Another palm bog, just a little piece 15. Unknown 16A. Unknown 16B. 17. Unknown 18. Unknown. Has a fine rhyolite texture, maybe some kind of wonderstone? 19. Unknown 20. Chipboard rhyolite 21A. Small unknown agate, front 21B. back 22A. Got a bag with this goldstone, greenstone, and one bluestone. 22B. I paid just $1 for the bag. Small, but great for making cab pairs for earrings. 23A. Lastly, a couple chunks of colorful petrified wood. 23B. They seem mostly solid and fracture free. Will find out how solid when I work them... 23C. That's it for the Vista show. Thanks for looking. 5 looks like amy sage. The other purples could be too. The clear moss looks like Horse Canyon. I really like the sagenite.

Lots of good looking pieces. I especially like the #21 Small unknown.
Is this the other half of your $35 spending spree?

Thanks, John on the IDs. Possible Horse Canyon, #9 or #11?
Mike, I like greens and blues. Green does really pop! Just call me a tight-wad, lol!
Second half of my $35 spending spree? Why yes, Pat it is! I might not know what they are when I see them, but I buy what I like looking at - if the price is right. One guy had half a dozen large trays full of rocks. Regardless of what they had marked on them, they were all 50 cents each. I bought twenty slabs, or ten dollars worth, just from him alone! I still have five more little slabs that I didn't post. The seller liked to slab rocks, but did not work them after that. He sprayed them with a urethane to make them shine. Those were a quarter each, or five for a dollar! Yup, I got five.
Time to cut out some preforms, and get to work! Jean
