This is a mish mash of anything I had to tumble. Tumbled in rotary 60/90 and then lot-o 220, 500 and polish. Thanks for looking Bill Whole batch Some ohio flint I collected at flint ridge - not the prettiest but takes a great shine Some citrine and amethyst The rough ? dalmation stone- have a whole batch of this stuff roughing now. Hope they look as cool as these 3 pieces As usual a few hearts

Nice batch. Maybe that's what flint ridge looks like before heat treatment.

toad, There are all sorts of colors of flint at flint ridge. From what I understand the grey stuff in this tumble is found in the top layer and the prettier colors are found below this.
When I went there last fathers day with the family we just picked up stuff on the surface which was primarily the grey stuff. It was my first rock hunt ever and we had no idea what we were doing.
I'm going to make the family go back this fathers day and we will hunt harder now that I know what to look for Ha.
Thanks for all the nice comments Bill

Good looking batch. The citrine and amethyst shot --- so pretty! Like your hearts, too. Nice to hand out.

That amethyst came out as pretty as lavender water. The whole batch came out great! Those hearts would look nice on a music or jewelry box.

Nice job! That dalmation stone piece on the bottom-right has some very cool patterns that I've never seen in that stone before.
