I just couldn't resist buying this monstrous slab and with all the cool Amethyst Sage I have been seeing lately....well...... I just had to have this piece The dendrites in purple chalcedony is like trees with a sky full of birds ;D 8.5" long and 292 grams.

that is one that should never get cut up any further. One of the best purple amy sage Ive ever seen. Thanks for posting picture of it.

those are nice dendrites. my all time favorite Amy Sage slab came form Mary Ann a few years back. Very scenic. I still have not cut it, but here are two cuts I planned. I might reconsider the bottom one because a hole that close to the top could break.

WOW that is a beautiful slab. do you have a local rock shop to buy slabs from or did you get that one online?

I got this from a Facebook friend Aaron Buell who will be the new Rock Show person for Dale at West Coast Mining. (RIP Ken).
I was really sad not seeing West Coast at our annual rock show this year (March), but it looks like next year, they'll be back!!!

Fantastic slab! I've got a similar one that I was lucky enough to find at a show. That nice grape purple with the dendrites is to me one of the prize varieties of ammey sage.....Mel
