Never been to their show before, just passing this along - didn't see any contact info on their site. They are on Facebook, I am not.
North Orange County Gem & Mineral Society Annual Show June 8 & 9, 2013 10-5 La Habra Community Center 101 W. La Habra Blvd. La Habra, CA. Free entrance and free parking 22 vendors, Route 66 Gold Miners, kid's room, lectures, displays, silent auction, raffle, spinning wheel, wonderful Mexican Geodes, and me, Nancy Bird, with great plants, grab bags, and a new thing - Pot O' Rocks (you'll have to see it). The 1/2 size Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall will be here in La Habra July 11-14 and we are a co-sponsor. Therefore, our show this year is entitled RED, WHITE, & BLUE. And almost everyone's case will have family photos of service. The American Legion will have a table and the ROTC helps us every year for which we help them financially. We will also be selling named quilted squares to help defray the cost of bringing the wall to La Habra. Saturday evening right when the show officially closes for the day, we will present the 2 $750 scholarships, one to each student from the 2 high schools. We also donate most of the raffle money to the La Habra Youth Committee, which also runs the kitchen-so buy some tickets for great prizes.

Yeah, no joke, Susan. I wanted to go to the Yucaipa show but they were the same weekend as the Searcher's show. The Yucaipa gang puts on an excellent silent auction - quite large, lots of materials.
I'm going to try and convince my family that we have to hit up the Culver City show in July. We'll see.

Our show is pretty cool! We usually have geodes the kids can choose and then get cut open right on site too.
Did anybody go to the North Orange County Show? I'd like to hear how that went. I really liked the Searchers show - emphasis on rough and slabs, rather then beads/finished jewelry.
