Thought I would share this about USPS. I had an order for a B model Gy-Roc, Piggy Back Kit, and ceramics. I didn't realize I was out of the tumblers so asked manufacturer to drop ship the tumbler and Piggy Back and I boxed the ceramics. Doing the online label as usual I included a note to customer "Partial shipment. Unit and Piggy Back will ship today by UPS". USPS kicked it back with "note contains profanity". First time I included a note so never saw this before. Pretty strange but using my imagination I dropped "unit" and reworded "tumbler". Kicked out again for profanity in note. Pretty kinky but I removed "piggy back". Same profanity note. Not much left so I thought it couldn't be? That's right I removed the profanity when I removed the "UPS" from the note. Way to go USPS, I needed a good laugh.

I have a buddy makes his living from a website like this in the reptile biz. He uses his profanity filter to block folks from advertising competing businesses as well. This results in some very funny relations between certain clients and his CSR.
When the CSRwas new she noticed they had a user whose nickname was "Cooterman". She took that to be a dirty man with naughty intentions. She did not know about the turtle that is properly named "Cooter".
BTW, I do not mean to hijack your thread; but should the US government's postal service be limiting your speech in such a manner?

That's funny, John. Try "NSA", "IRS", "HHS" and see if the notes get kicked back for profanity. Or maybe it'll come back with "Note contains stupidity."

I see the UPS man at the post office frequently. Many orders shipped UPS end up at the post office for local delivery. At Quartzsite last year we ordered something and specified UPS delivery since Quartzsite only has PO boxes and general delivery. When we tracked our order it came UPS to the Blythe post office and then returned to sender as not deliverable. Then the sender offered to refund my charges except the shipping. Needless to say I fought and won that battle. As far as constitutional rights I think they can have a profanity filter but including UPS as profanity seems very wrong.

I wonder if UPS considers USPS profanity? I will say this about USPS, though, the package you just sent to me on Monday, John, was here the very next day. Tracking info said it would arrive on Wednesday, was pleasantly surprised when it came on Tuesday. Thanks again for getting that out so quickly. Jean

I was sending out boxes o rocks the other day at a busy PO at lunch time and a lady got in line behind me with a box. The counter worker was out to the lady in seconds to inform her with much disdain that her package was NOT USPS, it was UPS. Guess there's just a little animosity there.

Lee Love to see a soccer match US Postal Workers Union v. Teamsters (UPS). - let me referee it. I'll do it free of charge. Tête-à-tête Ooopsie, I swallowed my whistle, lol.
