I decided I would try to sneak in a cab tonight before bed. I had time to make two...but; why is it the tiny scratches magically appear only when you take the darn photo!! I will re-polish tomorrow lol Tiger Tail (from Daniel) Agate I don't think I broke the wheels in all the way with the new machine. That may be where the scratches came from. It doesn't help that I am half blind to boot lol Thanks for looking! Roger

Wow! holy smokes the tiger tail is phenomenal. I love seeing new stones I've never seen before - worked beautifully I might add.

Excellent looking cabs!!! I haven't seen Tiger Tail before either. I hate it when scratches like that appear when you are at the polish stage as well. ( I can't see them) I hope you will be able to remove them by polishing more, but usually I have to go back a couple of discs. I cut most of my cabs on an Ameritool after starting them on my expando drum unit. The Ameritool is fantastic for fixing small problems from the expando unit. I guess I just need more practice on it. I can't see very well either so, I find if I don't use my magnifying visor or a loupe sometimes I don't see scratches that show up later.

That is a really cool stone, and nice job on it! I've never seen tiger tail before. I like that little mammillaria on the right in the third picture! Jean

Thanks Jean lol I knew those cactus beds would come in handy at some pont Randy, I started cabbing at the end of May. I didn't even own a tumbler until Christmas I think I have posted all except maybe 10-12 cabs on the boards. I guess I am close to 40 in all. I am getting better at least..I hope

Great job, especially like the Tiger Tail, the coloring, warm & relaxing.

They're both coming nicely but I must confess to liking the round one the best. Sometimes I think I should photograph before finishing just to be sure because, for some reason, the scratches really do pop for the camera! LOL! Enjoy it, though! It's all about the process and you've got two great pieces here!!!
