Are you going to cut and polish a piece to see?

No, I have no plans to cut this piece. I like it just like it is and so will collectors. Chromite is actually pretty common close to here so I can experiment with some other pieces when I can get back out there to collect. But this particular piece is the largest and nicest piece I have ever found.

I'd love to see it polished too.

When it cools of again I will go out and get some smaller pieces of chromite I can cut and polish. I have cut a piece in the past just to look at the inside it is nice with all the balls inside. I never tried polishing the piece though. As I said though it is very common about 50 miles from here. Just getting way to hot right now. Supposed to be above 115F all week long with areas of town getting in to the 120s. I only go out collecting if it 100F or under.
