My Rock Shed crazy lace is in the vibe right now. I bought five pounds and I have about a pound left. The stuff I got had lots of tiny vugs. Some parts seemed softer and undercut. I think the rocks that make it through are going to be very nice, but ended up to be very time consuming and expensive. How was the quality of the Kingsley stuff? It sure looks nice.

You have done a fine job with the lace and you have some really nice specimens there. How many weeks in the course tumbler to get rid of the blems (surface dimples, cracks, etc.)? From what I can see, there are flawless for the most part. That either means great patience on your part or you had really nice rough stock to start with. Care to share which it was? Either way, you have a great tumble there.

This is the second time I've bought Lace from Kingsley. I have been happy with it. Since it was my second go round I had an idea of what would under cut and trimmed most of it out on my tile saw.

Either way, you have a great tumble there. When this order arrived it was mostly pieces larger than 1 inch. This is the second time I've tumbled lace and I had a good idea what parts of the rocks were softer and would undercut. I sorted out pieces I thought were good and cut the rest up on my tile saw. I tried to cut through concave areas and softer areas to make better tumble stones. Some I ground into smoother shapes on the edge of the blade but for most the fist cut was good enough. The first few pieces came out of 60/90 after 4 weeks. They were likely the ones I spent the most time with on the saw. The rest were in 60/90 for 6 to 10 weeks.
