That is a great tumble! Those hearts are real eye catchers with their smooth finish and symmetry.

That's a great batch, Bill! You really captured the shine in your pictures. How do you use your Dremmel on the hearts? Do you touch up the indentation on the top with it or do all the edges get rounded a little before tumbling? I cut a couple small ones that haven't gone into the tumbler yet.

Thanks for the nice comments everyone. I have been out of commission getting my daughter off to college Chuck- thanks for the offer. I would love to get my hands on a slab to make a flint heart. I'll PM you. I haven't ever seen a flint ridge slab as far as I can remember. It is a very nice offer especially from a michigander to an ohioan. Ha Rob- I cut the preform in a kind of kite shape and then use the dremmel with a diamond disc to cut out the cleavage. I do not round them. I leave all the rounding and smoothing to the tumbler. It also erases most of my mistakes Rockpickerforever- I'm not scared of much but I think I might suck at wrapping I haven't tried it yet but it is on my to do list to try sometime.
