Bought this 6" rock Rascal from Jason a while back. Whoever he got it from had used oil in the sump. Then the saw sat for a few years. Oil and sludge turned to concrete. Even several days sitting with gas in the sump wouldn't clean the crud out. Then in desperation I tried OXI CLEAN. 1/4 cup in that little sump, and topped with boiling water. After 15 minutes I scrubbed it with an old paint brush and rinsed it out. The sump looks like brand new. Added a new vise and it's almost ready to go. Got a brand new 1/4 horse reverse rotation motor for it. Just need to bolt it down to a board and add a belt, and I'll have a portable trim saw.
