Thought I would do something more constructive today than preach the gospel. While the slab saw is running thought I go thru a couple boxes of stuff I picked up a couple years ago. Got a 5 gallon bucket of assorted slag with it somewhere. Right off the bat I see a med sized keokuk, a large chunk of bloodstone and 2 others not sure what they are. That's about it lapiday wise, a lot of unknown type nodules maybe geodes ill check them out later. Here is one of the cans dumped out, mostly mexican jelly opals in matrix many are way small but I see some ones with potential: Here are some slabs I started cutting the other day, cut it down till I had to reclamp it and am finishing it off this morning. I like the circulars in it. Any idea what it is? Kinda a vertical clamping bar I made in a few minutes this am. I have grabbers just felt like making something different. Originally the idea came to me as to keep the bar from rotating and squeezing out the 'nubbin' and I realized the bolt holes would have to be in the center it would still rotate. Then I was like i'll drill a hole in the middle of the angle and put in an adjustable bolt that would keep it from flipping. Then I realized I didn't need any of that at the moment lol. No biggie......took me all of ten minutes and got ideas for later one of which was drilling holes in the top plate to accept the slab grabber bolts as the ones I have work better in a bookend vise. Of course I could just build a different grabber I guess lol:

Interesting slabs! Hard to tell from the pics, but maybe some sorta red lace agate? Sounds like you had a fun day playing with rocks

Pics didn't turn out too well sorry. Red crazy lace would be my last guess if a guess at all it's not banded like an agate at all and i've seen plenty of red lace.
