Famous Love Story
I will seek and find you . .
I shall take you to bed and have my way with you
I will make you ache, shake & sweat until you moan & groan.
I will make you beg for mercy, beg for me to stop.
I will exhaust you to the point that you will be relieved when I'm finished with you. And, when I am finished, you will be weak for days.
All my love,
The Flu
Now, get your mind out of the gutter and go get your flu shot!
Kaiser in San Diego area today held their first flu shot clinic of the flu season, starting about a month earlier this year than last. I have not had a flu shot in years, have not gotten the flu. After hearing that it is not so effective, I wonder if it's worth getting?

Its not. Same with all those lousy medications. Very regularly, I'm the last to get it within my family and I'm done with a flu before everyone else without any meds at all.

If you are allergic to eggs, you should not get a flu shot. There is an alternative shot for those allergic to eggs, but it is for people in a certain age group --- not mine.

Got my first ever flu shot last year. Also for the first time in many years I was so sick I missed work. Not sure what to think.

I guess different folks have different results. I get my flu shot every year in October and have not had the flu for at least 20 years. Got to say though, I got that pneumonia shot one year, and that one made me pretty darn sick. The one I made sure to get was the shingles vaccine. Man, both my mom and dad had shingles in their sixties and were in total misery for months.....Mel

I've only had 1 flu shot in my life. Spent 2 weeks in bed after getting it. It was written right into my medical records that I was not to get the damned shot.

I get the shot every year and knock on my wooden head, I have not had the flu for (I can not remember the last time). I am not recommending the shot or bragging about not having the flu for a long time. I am just stating a fact so I do not kill my luck. I wish you all a healthy winter. Jim

yeah, flu shot september 1984, missed two weeks of work. Company required the flu shot so they paid the entirte sick leave, or I would have lost a weeks pay.
Never took a flu shot again. Never had a sickness one would call "the flu" either. Actually, that might not be true. I have no clue what being sick with the flu means.
I am not allergic to eggs.
