Where are you located? I heard that Powell, about 30 miles north of here, got about a foot. I don't know where it started south of here but lower Wyoming was in the news and we are almost never in the news or on the weather channel. Jim We're about halfway between Cody and Powell. Things are back to pretty much normal now, the snow has all melted except for the places with 4 foot drifts. Some of our trees took a beating though.

Hard to believe the snow went around that close to us on three sides. I certainly am not complaining. Seems like we get less snow and rain here. I hope your trees survive. It sucks to loose trees. Spitting snow again now, wind about 20 mph or so, just kind of nasty out. It'll clear up, though.

hahaha Yea, it will clear up, clear up to your butt. It never happens here though. Winter before last we had no snow that accumulated and last year we had maybe six inches twice. It did stick around for quite a while though.
We got a lot of rain last night. I have one damn leak in my camper that I have tried over and over to stop and every times it rains quite a bit the wall gets wet. Driving me nuts. All we are getting right now is wind, a lot of wind. Jim

Here we have the COLDEST October 1st ever recorded so far. Weather like blizzard, only it's cold rain. 6 degrees Celsius but feels like -2 because of strong wind. In some colder areas it even snowed - with layer of snow on roads and traffic problems. Part of the global warming thing, I guess. Adrian Global warming makes it cold. Yep, that is the Progressive mind in full display!

Hard to say if one event is part of overall climate change and extreme weather events. What is the record cold temp for Oct 1st? I like Kansas because it has much less snow than Pennsylvania - but I wish I still lived in Oregon. You can avoid snow by staying close to I-5, and then there are the rocks. Haha! Nice point about Oregon. RE: hard to tell... I'll politely disagree with this point. The climate changes. It does so on many cycles. The most obvious is the daily cycle. Now that I have that in your mind, remember there have been ice ages on their own cycles? Well, climate has other cycles too. Climate changes. Period. Has been since the origin of the planet and will continue until the sun swells and swallows the earth. Therefore all climate change is normal. To predict it will change is well, no fete. Climate changes. Nuf said. But that does not keep Progressives from throwing trillions of dollars at "the problem."

Here in north central Wyoming we did not get one flake. It went around us on both sides. Got down to 24 degrees though but we still have herds of flies. Hate them buggers. Jim I heard snow does not melt in Wyoming. It wears out from blowing back and forth!

Fifty miles west of me that is true but here it is pretty calm compared to a lot of places I have lived around the country. Denver is much worse than here. Jim

Here in western Oregon we don't have blue sky, just empty clouds going back for a refill.

Getting cool here too now. Supposed to hit the 30's next week. As a side note, antarctic ice coverage is at record high levels for the second year running. Dang that global warming anyway. Getting so hot the world is freezing over *L*....Mel
