I dont understand. I thought the constitution trumped international law, on our soils anyways.

Scott, therein lies the rub. The Constitution does indeed trump all else, as long as we remain sovereign in the area of who's laws we follow. That is why one should cringe when hearing talk about the Constitution being a document that needs to "evolve" with the times.
International law is another pillar of Globalism. That is why we fight against the U.N. arms agreements when they threaten the 2nd amendment. As our courts have slowly been filled with judges that are receptive to the idea that international law is part of the future, we have been incrementally pushed to the very brink.
Globalism requires a 'level' playing field, and it is us who are being "leveled". (and thus eventually rendered harmless)

Actually, it makes me wanna cry when regular people think more government power is a good thing.
