I had no idea what this cab was until I was enlightened tonight. This was very soft. The orbs were paper thin and I lost some in my doming. Over all though, I am digging this stone! Kabamby OJ...... totally different than regular OJ and nothing close to the name it's close to Kambaba. This is an OJ variety all by itself! And an outdoor shine picture Thanks for taking some of your time to look at some of mine!!!

Are you sure this is Kamamba? The glossy shine makes me think of OJ. But then again, you mention it's very soft. Could be Kamamba, though. Looks like the shine you put on the stones is immune to the softness of the stone. Have you tried brick yet? Adrian PS. It's OJ though. Huh! I was affraid you managed to put such a shine on kamamba. What a relief!

What a relief! Adrian, this is how it was explained to me from Deb193!!! "The Ocean Jasper and Kabamby Ocean Jasper are two distinct deposits of orbicular jasper. The Kabamba jasper is a 3rd location, but it is a stromatolite" And this was also explained to me from a FB friend, "The stromatolite material from Madagascar is Kambaba Its name is so close to the olive green kabamby that the name is often misused"
