Though I've only been back less than twenty four hours, and there are still RTH members out there, I cannot help but reflect on the great new friends, and great time I had out there.
By the time Desert Dweller, Stoner and I were less than twenty miles into our trip, we already felt like we were friends from long ago. Of course, having the daylights scared out of us by that blow-out we had on the rear tire made us our friendship a little closer.
Our friendship got even stronger thanks to the "lost burrito." More on that later on other threads.
Not one single member hid anything from each other. If someone found a nice rock somewhere, he, or she would let everyone else know.
Everyone took care of, and watched out for one another.
What's mine is yours and what's yours is mine. Not a philosophy, but just the way it was done out there.
You don't drink or smoke, hey no problem. You do drink, or smoke, no problem either.
Don't know or think this could last forever, but for those past few days it was truly an incredible experience. To quote that old commercial... "I Love You, Man!"

What? You didn't bring any food with you? Don't worry about it, whatever is in the fridge or the table is here for everyone.
You idiot(me), you're going to sleep outside under the stars and you didn't bring a coat? here, wear mine(Jamie). Thanks, I needed that!
Sitting around the campfire swapping stories about rocks, the days hunt, saying things like "I'm busy"(had to be there), and laughing so hard your side starts to hurt, ;D ;D ;D well, that was just a daily routine.
If you told me 5 years ago that I'd be sitting around a campfire with an ex cop drinking and having a great time, I'd have told you you're crazy.
Was it just us there at the Blitz? Nope, every one of you crazy rockhounds were there with us. Hope your ears weren't burning too badly! ;D
Any surprises in the people I met? Yea, the way they talk sure don't sound like their typing!
Oh yea, did you know we have a closet cabber amongst us? I won't mention any names(Condor), but I think someone(Condor) will be posting some awesome looking cabs soon. I also think there will be many people looking for grinders very soon.
Would I do it again? Hell yes, in a heartbeat. And it wouldn't even have to be somewhere that we could collect rocks.

Amen to that, wouldn't take rocks to get us all together again! Although, I think everyone there has some real serious issues, we are all hardcore, I mean HARDCORE rockhounders.
