Girl, you are incredible!!! No one can shine like you Question- Was that Pyroxmangite anyhting like rhodonite? I could swear I had some years back- before I cabbed- I bought it as rhodonite, but it looks exactly like yours- even with that orange bit. It is a type of gemmy Rhodonite with translucency from Australia. PyroxmangiteThanks I just recently did a piece with Imperial/Royal rhodonite. It is a much deeper color but translucent. Gorgeous stuff.

In the second picture, I tried to get the glow, but didn't really succeed. It's stunning in person. Here is what I could find out about it Royal or Imperial Rhodonite: The terms Royal and Imperial are both used to describe an Australian rhodonite with a deeper more intense red/pink which is also translucent to semi translucent. Imperial/Royal Rhodonite is coarsely crystalline and difficult to polish, but the work results in a stone which glows deep pink rose. This quality is generally found without black manganese or very little of it.
