Mmmmmm....like that stuff. I like the 3rd one. Like the shape, like the banding and the dots. Very cool Loved that lapis too. Man, what a shine...and what a chunk of material. You must know an Afgan miner Tony

They are all stunning, great color & shine, I especially like the first oval - I like ovals.

Love that material and your usual fine cutting. I saw some of that opalite at a local show 3-4 years back but it was so pricey I decided not to buy. It's certainly a ringer for some types of Tiffany/Bertrandite. I wouldn't be surprised if it contained some of the same minerals.

Will any of this rough be up for sale on the earthlight gems website? If it's not on the website you can send an email. There is only about 5 fist size chunks at the shop and they are pricey. Between $100 and $200 each for the rough. The small rock that I cut yielded 4 small slabs which are the cabs I posted above. It was priced around $40 for that piece but I had hardly any waste. I also bought one of the larger fist sized pieces but I haven't cut it yet. I'll post a picture of it here in a bit.

Rick I compared it to the small Tiffany slabs we have at work and it looks almost identical except the Mexican Purple doesn't have the black mineral going through it. It also doesn't have the red that some Tiffany does. If I didn't know that it was from Mexico though I would most likely misidentify it as Tiffany. Costs about the same too, lol!

As long as you come up on the rocks by selling cabs you are fine.
As always Krystee - wow!
