Are you going Jean? I am looking for jade, jadeite and nephrite to cover the top of a table. I only have $40 in my paypal account but if anyone is going I would appreciate it if you would keep me in mind. I am not looking for the really expensive stuff like Siberian jade though because it is just going onto a table. Jim

No, I'm not going, Jim. I'm actually going out prospecting this weekend with a group from my prospectors club. Besides, once you add gas and travel time to the equation, it'd be hard for me to get the deals I get. (I know, that's why you wanted to send me, lol!) You missed out on the Jade Festival up at Big Sur a couple weekends ago. www.bigsurjadefest.com/ And more pics and info from Kim's blog - eclecticarcania.blogspot.com/2013/10/22nd-annual-big-sur-jade-festival.html Maybe you can make it next year. I wouldn't make a very good go-between, I don't know nothin' about jade.

Thanks Jean! Right up the road from me. I'd love to see the pictures - I'll PM you my email. Jim - I'd be happy to look for you if you give me specifics. Just remember I'm a newby & don't necessarily know what prices SHOULD be

Thanks Karen but I just found a source with some pretty good prices on Washington jade.
Jean, seeing all that jade that I can not have makes me ill. If I would have been there I would have had to walk home because I would have had to sell my vehicle to pay for my purchases. Since I do not use them very much any more I would probably give one and a half of them to go next year. lol Thanks for posting that anyway because it was a beautiful eye full and I really enjoyed seeing it. Jim

Jim, everyone almost missed out on the Jade Festival this year because of the government shutdown. Yeah, it almost didn't happen. You know, "Make it hurt". Something to do with the school property it was going to be held on. Made no sense to me.
Anyway, glad to hear that you found a source with good prices. I also understand when the jade bug bites you, and you have to sell your essential belongings (i.e., transportation) to acquire it, lol!

Nope, not so. It was a last minute deal, but the show went on. Link to blog about it: linkIt was on the internet, so it must be true! (Joking, it really did happen, Scott.)
