I thought I read a thread on here about a place called Santa Cruz Biotechnology that had light mineral oil in 1 gallon jugs with free shipping if you ordered at least $50.00. Anyone else remember this or was I imagining it?? I copied the link but can't find anything that says free shipping and I went as far as to enter my credit card info and all I got was a TBD for shipping so I backed out. Anyone got any ideas/Info on this? At $14/gal it's cheaper than the TSC here in town which wants 19/gal. The free shipping is the deal clincher to order it online. Thanx in advance Mario

Hi Mario,
That's the site and I had the same experience, except that I didn't go as far as entering credit card info. I searched around and found that they'll quote you shipping after you've placed the order. I would call them before doing that...
Donnie said that she gets free shipping on 5 gallons $50 orders.

was it on 5 gallons or on order of $50.00 or more?? that's where I'm at... I thought she said or someone said it had to be an order of $50.00 or more to get free shipping which would be 4 gallons @ $14/ea. which would work for me. But 5 gallons @ $70.00 is more than I can spend right now.... guess I'll have to call them Monday and see what they say, unless anyone else has the answer and wants to share!!

I have at least 2 gallons maybe 3 of something in glass jugs labeled rock saw oil but it's light brown, maybe pella? Not sure if it would be enough for your purposes but I could put it in a plastic jug and you can have it for the cost of shipping. I want it out of my shop before it gets broke. I just got a plastic jug in case your wondering why don't I just put it in a plastic jug lol.

just go to the local store that supplies hay and other products to horse owners. They'll have all you need on the shelf.

I guess if you buy three gallons at the other place the fourth is free at that savings. But only if postage is free. What did they say?

Dear Mario,

That's a pretty good deal with free shipping. I might try them next, or maybe buy a bunch of pints at Wally World...

I just went to the Santa Cruz site. Light mineral oil is now $14 per gallon. I saw nothing about free shipping. Did I not look on the right page at the site? Rick

I was very lucky buying mineral oil. A store close to work was selling all kinds of things at very cheap prices. They had mineral oil in 1 quart containers for $ 1.00 I would go to the store every week and buy all they would have on their shelves. I bet they thought I really had a digestive problem. I always got strange looks from the counter ladies. Never told them what it was for ! ! I think I have about 7 gallons total.

Rick yes that is right.... the free shipping is set up at checkout after you give them your payment info and complete the transaction. I contacted the company and verified this already. My order goes in next wednesday!!

just got an email from the company showing the purchase, no sales tax and no shipping !!
Only had 1 in stock, other 3 ship for free when they get them.... not desperate for oil so not a problem for me, will be ordering at least 4 gallons every time I get paid so I can build up a little supply ... just in case price goes up again!!
