So I told myself when I got back into this rock hobby that I'd only work on rocks that I collected myself. But there's no labradorite around here :-) So I bought a 5 lb box of it on ebay last week. It was advertised as "AAA" grade. It was reasonably priced too, 70 bucks. Maybe that's not? I've only slabbed up one chunk so far, here's what it looks like, I'm happy with it:

That's nice material and you got a reasonable price, but I don't think it's AAA.
I saw some AAA this summer from Nain, Labrador that was intense peacock blue and highly flashy. It is typically sold by the gram. The cab I was interested in was weighed and came in at a mere $270. I gasped, then I passed!
Post your cabs when your done. The material can be tough to work due to pits, fractures and it being feldspar soft. Some of the more experienced members may recommend you stabilize first.

I'd say that's a pretty good deal at $14.00/ lb if it's all that nice.
