When Stoner, Desert Dweller, and I got back from the Blitz, we stopped by my house so that they could meet my family. Stoner pulled out his cabs, and as my wife was looking through them she was overtaken by the beauty of them all. There were a couple of them that grabbed her attention. Next thing you know, Stoner had given them to her. She has since taken them to show off at work, and people are just amazed at them. My wife doesn't get on message boards, but she really wants me to thank you Stoner from the bottom of her heart for your kindness and generosity. Thank you Ed. Here is what the master gave her. Hey, I don't remember giving her that penny! It was my pleasure and I'm glad she likes them. But ya know, I was thinking about it on the plane, how rude of me not to give one to each of your daughters too. Well, I guess I'll just have to take care of that.

I beg to differ with all of these glowing announcements about Stoner. I go and visit Stoner, at his house, do I ever get one of his signature cabs, nope! All I get are rocks, nothing but rocks. It makes me feel like Charlie Brown on Halloween! LOL
Just kidding Ed! Isn't it a rockhound tradition to share rocks?
I hope to come by Monday or Tuesday depending on which meetings I can avoid for one of those two hour business lunches. Ya can't visit with Ed for less than an hour. I'll be be bringing some of the picture jaspers I showed in the Cab section.

Stoner gave me a very nice "Guadalupe Poppy" cab to give to my wife. She's alot like Condor's wife....she doesn't do the discussion board thing but I wanted to say that she (and I) really love it.
We don't have anything like it here in our little personal collection.
Thanks Ed!

Got to chime in also on this one. I too was a recipient of one of Ed's cabs, I talked about it in "Life, Universe." a couple of days ago. It is to be a part of a sentimental heirloom I am having made. Part my Dad and part my "Old Hippy" (Don't freak, he knows the story and I would not have repeated it if I had not seen the smile one his face while writting his reply) S.F. friend.
Thanks again Ed.

Once a Hippie, always a Hippie! It's like Cheech and Chong said, "Hey man, you gotta chair tings man" Thank you all for the kind words, but there's a lot of people on this board who show such generosity, it's just unbelievable.

I have to jump on the 'We love Stoner' bandwagon here... Ed is definitely one of the 'good guys'. I got a couple of great cabs and a cabbing lesson from him at the ranch but best of all I made a new friend. I've been pretty busy lately but plan to post a pic of the cab Ed made while giving me the cabbing lesson soon. Thanks Ed!!! Dan
