This was the stone my husband dragged me out of a rock show from, telling me I was "DONE"!!!! Patrick was NOT happy when I purchased this considering it was smaller than my thumb and cost over.... well,,,,, way too much! Burma Mah Sit Sit Jadeite. It has been a long time getting the inspiration and feeling competent enough to finish this!

Chi Ching!!!!! Oh my- Krystee, you are speaking my language. I remember asking about cutting this material. Now that you have done it, what do you think of it? I have one to recab. DH gets very nervous when I want to go to our one big gemshow. He's usually very good about it, though- except when I bat my eye lashes at he Russian lady's booth. Oh Lord, that woman gets my money.

It works great Tela with 50k diamond paste and food grade silicone spray on firm smooth side out leather! Cutting it isn't a problem at all. My piece had some micro quartz druzy pockets but even those weren't bad and ironically, you don't see them in person. My HUGE pictures though show them quite well, LOL!

Gorgeous brazilian dollar cab! 50K diamond paste on leather with silicone spray. Is the silicone spray to 'thin' the paste to spread it on the leather better? Is this leather moving? Say on a flat disk? or hand held? Or do you just put on a baseball glove treated as described and toss the cab into the mitt repeatedly while watching TV? (memories of me doing same with baseball into mitt ---> for hours!)

Well. water doesn't work on leather because it ruins it. Not exactly sure why it has to be silicone spray but that was what I was taught years ago to use on leather. And.... the leather is great, almost like brand new after more cabs than I can possibly count. I guess it is used to spread it and keep it from drying out. All I know is that it works wonders!!!! I don't think you ever have to replace it unless you contaminate it or gouge it with something sharp. I have the same material in both disks and belts. I like the disks better!
Baseball glove, LOL!!!! That might actually work with a spare 20 hours!!!!!!!!!!

Well, looking at this cab I have a dillema: dunno if the amazing green color beats the shine you put on it, or viceversa! Adrian

I love that material but haven't had a chance to get some at something less than an arm, leg and two teeth.

I love that material but haven't had a chance to get some at something less than an arm, leg and two teeth. I found some for less.. they only wanted both legs and an ear, I got to keep my arms so I could work the material and 1 ear so I could hear if anything happened.... this after 4 hours of negotiating!
