Ok..... I have no idea where to post this since it IS DEFINITELY getting cut up! I am excited though with this find that I brought home today!!! This Amazonite is a deep rich aqua blue color. So much darker than any I have had before. It is old stock from an estate so I have absolutely no idea where it came from. I'm in heaven though!!!

That beauty looks like the Amazonite from central California right off 395. Thhere used to be a lot of blue found there. Can't remember the exact location. all that said, in Krystee's hands we will get to see some great cabs. Woody

The other prob may be that the color does not go as deep as you want so be careful.

It could also have come from Morefield Mine in Amelia Court House, Va. My son & I collected there over 20 years ago. We didn't find anything that nice, but the color of the beast material there is a deep belue-green like your hunk. Can't wait to see the cabs.

Beauty hunk! Wonderful stuff to cab, but be hard on your slabs, get the cracks out, and watch which way you slab it. I bought a very colorful chunk of Russian and it was badly fractured. Respect the cleavage, maybe go a little thicker on the girdle than you usually would. Polishes easily w AO. I don't offer the finished cabs for sale until they pass the finger test - I try to break 'em with a great deal of finger pressure.

I saw palm size pieces of material but nothing as awesome as Krystees! wowzers.
