What is this rock? It's black with brown shiny sprays. The black doesn't seem very solid; I haven't cut it yet. Anybody seen it before? This slabette was in the $2 dollar bin. However, another dealer had a huge slab priced at $80, looked like better quality of the same stuff, and he said he thought it came from Russia.

those look like wulfenite rutile crysals rocks got a gender problem mostly

Can't find any pics of slabbed up or cabbed up wulfanite on the google. Just druzies.

Yes, I've seen this before. It's astrophyllite. Often confused for rutile.
