Some time back I was able to buy some fine Laguna agate nodules. I carefully kept the “heel” portions, hoping to be able to cut a few cabs from them (the nodules and good slabs from them are in my “collector” box and I have no plans to cab them.) These are a few of the finished stones that resulted. I have a few more in progress I’ll post when they’re done. This is amazing agate and I try not to waste a carat of it. Getting the best out of those end cuts can be a challenge but some worthwhile cabs can be won with time and a little patience.

Lovely cabs. I just love those colors. Very soft and subtle.
