I tried the copper solder and it works good. I cut a short strip of 0.007" thick copper 1/4" wide.I squared the ends off like a bezel wire would be and soldered the joint. I had to cut a tiny piece of the copper solder and flatten it out so it would stay on the joint touching both sides. I heated it evenly as possible, the solder flowed and I pickled it to get it clean again. I put it on a steel ring mandrel to make it a little easier to file, sand and polish.I used a very fine 4" long flat needle file, then 220 grit emery, then 600 grit emery, then tripoli on 3/4" muslin buff in my Foredom flex shaft.I washed it with dish soap and dried it.I then polished it with Fabuluster.Washed it again and patted it dry with a paper towel. I filed a small groove where the joint is because the joint is invisible! A close-up of the joint,,,, Although I've only soldered this 1 joint I like the copper solder a lot. No flux, just clean copper and tight joints. connrock

Thanks connrock etc., I'll give it a bit of a go as soon as I get 20 other projects out of the way.

That's really great, I ordered some of this solder as I am not thrilled with Rio's. Could just be me though:)
